The poet’s trembling pen, ink spilt black –
rotting upon the yellowing sheafs;
black as the robes (and hearts!)
of paedophile priests fumbling “amen!”
again and again “amen!”
No verse nor false laid prayer
can unspill the ink spilt black
beneath the poet’s trembling hand
.
